Freud didn't think that psychoanalysis would be suitable for schizophrenia, and we spent a little time discussing why. CBT has been more successful but it is important to remember that none of the psychological therapies can really be studied in isolation, as almost all schizophrenic sufferers will be on antipsychotic medication.
